Popote The Surf School is a small, locally-run surf academy in El Palmar founded by an instructor with over twelve years of experience surfing the local breaks. Operating out of a beachfront hostel (Panama Beach Lodge), the school works with a small team of local instructors known for a patient, calm coaching style. It focuses on a personal, low-key experience rather than large group classes, welcoming complete beginners stepping on a board for the first time as well as intermediate surfers looking to refine their technique on El Palmar’s consistent Pacific waves.
